Shanmugam Sathiyamurthy
Shanmugam Sathiyamurthy (you may address him as Sathiya or Satiyamurthy) is the founder and proprietor of WeGroWin Training and Consulting.
Sathiyamurthy is a Chemical Engineer, from Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. He earned his MBA in Operations from IGNOU.
He is certified professional in APICS CSCP, CLTD, SCOR-P. He also earned PMP.
Sathiyamurthy is APICS recognized instructor in CSCP, CLTD and SCOR-P.
In 1991, he started his career in Henkel, a FMCG manufacturing company ( www.henkel.in ) and worked for 14 years. Then, he worked in Changepond Technologies (www.changepond.com ) from 2005 to 2011. Then he moved to Olam Information Technology ( www.olamgroup.com ) and worked for 8 months in 2011. From Jan 2012 to April 2019, he worked in Bonfiglioli Transmissions Privite Limited (www.bonfiglioli.com/India/en) as Chief Operating Officer of Industrial Business Unit.
In Henkel, he worked in various areas right from Erection and Commissioning of the Plant, Shop Floor operations, Production Planning and Control, Warehouse Management, Factory Budgeting, Product Costing. Working in Henkel gave him a strong platform on all his qualities which he enjoys now.
He took many initiatives like Industrial Engineering Study, Energy Audit, Packaging optimization, Standardizing processes and ABC costing System to improve the productivity and cost savings.
Sathiyamurthy worked for 8 years in SAP, as Core Team member, Functional Consultant, Corporate Process Analyst, Project Manager and Delivery Manager in different industries like FMCG (Henkel), Food process Industry(Olam), Electrical Manufacturing (Hoval AG) and Mechanical (Bonfiglioli).
He worked in 4 implementations and 10 roll out projects . He led a team to establish “Global Template” process which was rolled out across various countries with SAP and he supported establishing Centre of Excellence – IT, for Bonfiglioli group of companies, based in Chennai.
He travelled across the world countries like Italy, Australia, Vietnam, Germany, USA, Switzerland,China, Nigeria and across as part of SAP implementation and business consulting.
In Bonfiglioli India Limited (Industrial Business Unit), as Chief Operating Officer, he was taking care of Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Customer Order Management. As Operations responsible, with knowledge and skills gained in manufacturing, SAP implementation and Supply Chain Certifications, he improved the productivity with improved processes ,Continual improvement initiatives without any big investments, which helped the organization to improve Profitability while increasing the Top Line and Customer Satisfaction . He established many Best Practices in Bonfiglioli India (Industrial Business Unit). He helped people to come out of their conmfort zone and work in different areas based on their skills and knowledge. It improved a lot their career. He pioneered to establish a new plant in Pune for Bonfiglioli India (Industrial Business Unit) , to expand the business in West Region.
After working for 28 years, in April 2019, Sathiyamurthy left Bonfigliioli India (Industrial Business Unit) as Chief Operating Officer to become consultant with vision of sharing his skills and knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, SAP Implementation, Soft skills development of people, etc.
In August 2019, he established “ WeGroWin Training and Consulting” with aim of Empowering Individuals and Organisations and Enhancing their productivity and Profitability with Sustainable Growth.
